Patrick Hoercher

Patrick first connected with Camp Ozark in 2002 as a college freshman. With the exception of a two-year sabbatical to finish graduate school, Patrick has worked at Camp Ozark each and every summer since then. During his time as a member of the Summer Staff, Patrick served in several different roles: younger boys’ counselor, older boys’ counselor, Top Staff, and (perhaps most importantly) a 3-time Osage Chief.  While spending each of his summers at Camp Ozark, Patrick triple-majored as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University before completing his graduate theological studies at Harvard and Duke…and then Harvard again!

Patrick joined the Camp Ozark Permanent Staff in 2009. As a member of Ozark’s leadership team, Patrick helps write and oversee the spiritual development curriculum and ministry initiatives for Camp Ozark, as well as managing the older camper experience and the Morning Activity program. As the Ministry Resources Director of the Camp Ozark Foundation, Patrick writes and oversees the spiritual development curriculum and ministry initiatives for Ozone Ministries and Ozark for All, while serving as a member of the Ozark Leadership Institute Faculty- writing, curating and teaching curriculum to participating young adults from all over the United States.

Patrick met his wife, Katie, at Camp Ozark in the summer of 2007, and they were married in 2010. In 2012, Patrick and Katie welcomed a son, Bhrett. Patrick and Katie both work full-time for Camp Ozark, and love serving all our awesome Camp Ozark families together!
