Ali Monk is a native of Austin, Texas and a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Communications. A passionate Longhorn, Ali spent her college career as a YoungLife Leader, an active member of Chi Omega Sorority, and a freelance dance choreographer.
After just one summer as a Cabin Counselor at Camp Ozark, Ali joined the Camp Ozark Foundation team full-time in 2010 as an Ozone Area Director in the Houston-Memorial area. It was during that time that Ali connected with and formed life-long relationships with students and families in the Ozone organization. Ali then spent 6 years as the Executive Director of Ozone Ministries and 4 years as Program Director for Ozark for All. As such, Ali oversaw the day-to-day programming of both Camp Ozark Foundation organizations, and truly fell in love with the mission and vision of the Foundation. In the Fall of 2018, Ali took on the role of Executive Director of the Camp Ozark Foundation and has been humbled by the Foundation’s growth and expansion over her decade of involvement.
Ali still has the opportunity to work as a freelance dance choreographer, and has had the privilege of working for Spirit of America Productions as a choreographer for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the past 13 years. Ali met and married her husband, Ben Monk, a former Ozone Ministries Area Director and current Camp Ozark Associate Director of Operations, as a result of her Camp Ozark experience. The two live in Dallas, Texas with their two daughters and are forever grateful for their place in the Ozark Family.
